As we all know, cancer in ayurveda is called “arbuda’. The cells in the bladder grow rapidly to form a mass and lumps of cancer cells lead to a shape of tumour. Based on the ayurvedic texts, reasons of cancer are vitiated ‘kapha’, ‘vata’ and ‘pitta’ doshas.

Human body has other factors such as ‘agni’ or biological fire, ‘saptadhatu’ or body tissues, ‘srotamsi’ or body channels and ‘satkriyakala’ or crisis of the genetic sequence.

Ayurveda is a complementary medicine that can heal other types of cancer in a considerable amount. Based on ayurveda treatment we can heal not only our body but also our soul.

Various ayurveda therapies are used in the prevention of bladder cancer are as follows;

Snehana therapy, a kind of oil massage used for the preparation of panchakarma treatment. Medicated oils, herbal oils and ghee are applied internally and externally for the process. It is done by two types; external (Bahya) and internal (Abhyantara) snehana.
Swedana, a passive heat therapy in which a patient is enclosed in a steam chamber with head out position. Steam of ayurvedic decoction are flowed in the chamber for the purification process
Vamana, referred to as vomiting or medical emesis. This technique is used to reduce the intense kapha in the body. Generally this method is done in the early morning
Virechana, a controlled method of eliminating the ama and toxins from the body after concentrating the contents in the small intestine.
Basti, a method of administering the medicated oils and herbal decoction through anal route. It is a method of enema medication also considered as basti karma therapy
Nasya, a method of administering medicated oils through the nose to remove the dosha
Raktamokshana, an effective therapy of blood purification. Ayurvedic therapies are used to purify the blood as impure blood may be the reason for many diseases. Consuming medicated juices that are suitable for the body so it can reduce the risk of bladder cancer.
